McGuire for Senate

Dan McGuire is a fiscal conservative who believes in a smaller, less wasteful, efficient government. Ending the costly duplicative portions of government. Lower taxes and reduced spending.  He advocates for local control of education, and state's rights.
Dan is a strong defender of the second amendment, and will work to protect Minnesota from any federal assault on our right to keep and bear arms. He believes in a clean environment in which our hunting and fishing traditions can be passed on to future generations.

He grew up in Colorado, where he lived till joining the Navy. After leaving the Navy with an Honorable discharge, Dan worked for one of the country's largest alarm companies. The cost of raising a family forced Dan to seek better pay, so he started work in construction. He was very successful in the construction field but took a job in Paleontology after having found a number of important fossils while working on construction sites. Financial troubles at the museum Mr. McGuire worked at prompted a move to Minnesota, where he went to work for the Department of Natural Resources in 1998.
